My name is Jan Ligthart, a painter from the Netherlands.
I'm a self-taught artist, who used to like just showing my work on this website. End 2019 I decided to submit (part of) my time into taking things more seriously and professionalyze my work as an artist. Following workshops and (online) trainings helps me develop myself as a painter.
My favourite painting medium is acrylics and the paletknife is my most loved instrument. Especially by creating abstracts, often in series with a common theme, I aim to connect with an audience that understands the thoughts and emotions underneath.
To you, the visitor of my website, I leave it to judge: is this really ART (Kunst) or just MESSING ABOUT (Klungelen).
